Contract: Full-time

Salary: £45,000 - £52,000

Work Style: Flexible working arrangements with minimum 3 days in office

Job Overview:

Working within the Commercial Team, you'll manage and draft compelling, high-quality bids that help us secure key frameworks and projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a someone with a sharp, analytical and commercial mind, who can translate ideas into winning proposals and persuasive content that resonates with our clients and partners.

The ideal candidate will be required to: Bid managing and proposal development:
  • Develop engaging, persuasive, and visually compelling bid responses for RFPs (Requests for Proposals) and SQs (Supplier Qualifications) and ITT (Invitations To Tender)
  • Ensure proposals align with client requirements, deadlines, and industry best practices
  • Work closely with the commercial team to manage the bid library, creating and curating high-quality, reusable content
  • Participate in the debriefing process for lost proposals, extracting insights to strengthen future responses
Bid coordination and process management:
  • Support the commercial team in prioritising live opportunities
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely, high-quality submissions
  • Ensure all bids are on-brand, well designed and well-crafted
Research and market insights:
  • In collaboration with the commercial team, stay ahead of industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities
  • Support the commercial team in identifying and shaping new business opportunities
  • Ensure all bid and marketing content aligns with global procurement requirements and industry best practices
Qualifications, skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in humanities or equivalent
  • Two to five years of experience in bid writing and proposal development
  • Past experience in a comparable company is a strong positive
  • Strong understanding of the bid process and best practices for winning design and consultancy work in the transport sector
  • Proven track record of managing complex proposals and meeting deadlines
  • Exceptional writing and skills with a creative edge
  • Detail-oriented with outstanding organisational skills to juggle multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Excellent written communication to create compelling and persuasive content
  • Time management to balance bid deadlines and marketing priorities effectively
  • Project management skills to oversee deadlines and workflow
The position comes with the following salary and benefits:
  • A great starting salary of £45,000 - £52,000
