Building Control Surveyor

Our client is a Local Authority in South West London. They are looking for a Class 3 Building Control Surveyor to take up a part-time role working 3 days per week. The initial contract will be 3-6 months but this is an ongoing requirement and is expected to extend for some time.

They are looking for someone who is capable of working under minimal supervision to manage a caseload. On a daily basis, you will undertake examination and inspection of Building Regulation submissions, plans, and site works to ensure compliance with Building Regulations, London Building Acts, and other associated legislation.

You will advise applicants on statutory requirements affecting their proposals and you will also advise builders, architects, and other clients on the design of projects and fees. You will work with colleagues in the engineering team to appraise dangerous structures and advise on appropriate remedial action.

The client can be flexible with the 3 days per week and you will need to manage your workload accordingly to ensure relevant site visits are completed on schedule.

The rate on offer is £512/day (equivalent to £73/hr). The role is inside IR35.
