Salary: £40,000- £50,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. London weighting may be applicable.

Unscripted Commissioning comprises of the following programme genres; Entertainment, Arts & Classical Music, Documentaries, Specialist Factual (Natural History, Science, History & Religion), Factual Entertainment & Events and Daytime & Early Peak.
Working within the Unscripted Business team you will work with the Unscripted Commissioners to deliver their commissioning strategy. You will be across the overall genre budget, the development of ideas, the commissioning process, the programme prices and strategic priorities of your genres.
Main ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Head of Business you will be responsible for the delivery of a programming strategy within the Unscripted genres you are responsible for and with consideration to the wider Business & Operations priorities.
This includes advising on use of funding, supplier strategy, programme prices, negotiation of programme deals, use of development budget, commissioning meetings and all associated activities in the coordination of business activity.
You will manage internal and external stakeholders as required and ensure that commissioning decisions are made in accordance with BBC's key strategic priorities.
Are you the right candidate?- Experience of working within broadcasting in a comparable role either in production and/or commissioning support.
- Project management skills with an ability to improve organisational effectiveness and support a culture of continuous improvement.
- Demonstrable experience of maintaining constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- A passion for and experience within Unscripted programming.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, using own initiative to resolve day to day problems and identifying when to refer issues.
- Experience of providing business management assistance within an environment of similar complexity.
- Substantial experience of office software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
