About the Role:
A key role working closely with the Liberty Mutual (LM) Re COO in order to ensure that all COO strategies, goals and activities are consistently executed towards achieving Global Risk Solutions (GRS) and LM Re strategic objectives. This role involves coordinating across functions, facilitating collaboration, and driving initiatives through LMRe and the GRS Office of Operations (OOO) to drive high performance culture across the team and wider business.
About the Department & Team:
Liberty Mutual Reinsurance (LM Re) is one of four core pillars (North America, LII, LM Re and Global Surety) that make up the Global Risk Solutions (GRS), business unit. LM Re is situated in all core global market hubs and offers treaty property, casualty and specialty products across key North America, South America, European, UK, Middle East, Asia Pacific, and other international locations.
We provide brokers and cedants with a broad product range through both the Company and Lloyd's markets and have approximately 200 employees in 13 offices around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the objectives of the LM Re COO are executed in line with GRS and LM Re priorities. Manages individual initiatives and COO specific actions and monitors progress and alignment of initiatives with strategic priorities.
- Working with the LM Re COO leadership team to establish a cohesive operating rhythm that aligns to the LM Re COO's responsibilities to LM Re and GRS.
- Helps create and run the LM Re COO office and runs its team meetings, ensuring alignment of the OOO and the LM Re Executive Team.
- Be the subject matter expert and point of contact for all Operations related operating model questions - Become an extension of the LM Re COO vision.
- Seeks to cascade and translate the "OneGRS" strategy into concrete initiatives with respective business segments.
- Is an active participant in the alignment community across the OOO ensuring consistency of messaging and deliverables are achieved.
- Provide robust and constructive challenge to the LM Re COO and supporting teams.
- Executes and delivers against strategic initiatives as required by the LM Re COO.
- Identifies and resolves any misalignments or conflicts and promotes a culture of teamwork and mutual support.
- Partners closely with the Communications team to drive execution and articulation of the strategy across all employees.
- Prepare high-level messaging and presentations to socialize ideas and develop strategic content as appropriate on deliverables related to board meetings, enterprise executive leadership meetings and for external events and meetings of importance as required.
- Adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements forms part of your role, and the demonstration of behaviours as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy, as they relate to your role, is core to LM Re's commitment to our Liberty Values, placing customers at the centre of our business and behaving with integrity. - These requirements include the Senior Managers and Certification Regime Conduct Rules, Solvency II, fair treatment of customers, Financial Crime, Data Protection, Conflicts of Interest, and Whistleblowing.
Skills and Experience:
- Professional and approachable with can-do attitude with excellent senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners and foster a culture of effective working relationships.
- Demonstrable experience of getting best results collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders and the ability to create an environment that brings the best in people as part of a broader global team.
- An independent thinker able to execute in the grey to ensure successful delivery of business initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple initiatives.
- Capabilities required include resiliency, adaptability, self-confidence, organized, achievement-orientated, collaborative, and openness to new experiences.
- Proficient in PowerPoint.
