Job Description

This role is offered on a hybrid contract giving you the opportunity to also work from home 3 days a week.

Comic Relief reserves the right to close the role early if a large number of applications are received.

PURPOSE OF JOB:

The Business Analyst will join the Technology team at an exciting time as we implement and develop transformational products that drive Comic Relief's work and enable teams across the organisation to be data-driven and achieve strategic objectives. This role will be instrumental in ensuring successful embeddedness and optimisation of existing and newly implemented Salesforce products, working alongside dedicated product managers and product users.

The successful candidate will work closely with a range of stakeholders across the organisation, including Fundraising, Partnerships, Grant Management, Technology and Data to get an in-depth understanding of business objectives, develop and document user processes, facilitate user testing and improve ways of working. In this role you will be responsible for supporting users who rely on the products to complete daily tasks and achieve strategic goals, and will help to define and prioritise product and process improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Testing and training

  • Design, develop, document, and test user requirements and changes in accordance with the product roadmap and Salesforce product releases.
  • Manage testing and end user training, ensuring training materials are developed and shared.
  • Create and maintain high quality documentation on system changes and functionality improvements and support business owners in maintaining systems.

Process improvement

  • Work with specific areas of the organisation to understand and document As-Is processes, identify process weaknesses and areas for improvement, and help drive solutions.
  • Provide a communication 'bridge' between technical and non-technical colleagues to ensure that business requirements are understood and technology solutions are fit for purpose.
  • Facilitate the day-to-day management of user processes as needed, monitoring user activities and ensuring processes are followed.

Support end users

  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that end user processes are appropriate, documented and understood by end users.
  • Manage user access and permissions, maintaining security while ensuring users have appropriate access.
  • Drive issue resolution; develop business knowledge and technical alternatives.
  • Gain a deep understanding of processes and actively champion the best use of technology within teams while adopting an approach of continual improvement.
  • Ensure a good understanding of all features of Salesforce products, both technical and non-technical.
  • Contribute to and support the team to ensure Comic Relief's Salesforce products are reliable, secure, and resilient, and solutions enable end users to achieve business objectives.
  • Help the business to understand the effort, risk, and impact of making changes.
  • Research and participate in training and stay current on related issues and technologies.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
  • Effective relationship builder with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of gathering, defining and prioritising requirements to improve processes and develop products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and end users.
  • Experience creating and maintaining documentation and user guides.
  • Experience delivering user training and communicating user processes to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with CRM systems, either as an end-user, Business Analyst or Product Manager.
  • A desire to help and encourage continuous improvement of Comic Relief's processes and ways of working.
  • Understanding of Salesforce products and standard functionality preferrable but not essential.
  • Experience with multi-channel Marketing platforms desirable.
  • Experience with project management tools and ticketing systems (e.g. Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience of working in an agile environment preferrable but not essential.
  • Understanding of the principles behind effective data management and processes that enhance the quality of data in a CRM system desirable.
  • Previous Business Analyst or Product Manager experience preferred.

Don't meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
