Information about the Role:
This post is for a Band D role within the Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters Interventions function.
Organisational Learning has never been more important. Learning from mistakes and identifying good practice is crucial to ensuring the public are kept safe and Counter Terrorism Policing is as efficient as possible. Your role as an Organisational Learning Supervisor will be to ensure the effective delivery of Organisation Learning across the Interventions strand of CTPHQ.
'Interventions' is a function that was developed to bring together Prevent and CT Nominal Management into a single capability. Interventions aims to streamline pathways (where legislation allows) to deliver access to both Pursue and Prevent interventions as appropriate. Through enhanced delivery of our current services, we will provide stronger visibility, better understanding and equal access to multi-agency services, leading to effective risk mitigation for risk owners and tailored outcomes for individuals across the network.
Your role will be to work with a small, dedicated team to ensure effective delivery across the Organisational Learning strand of Interventions, whilst representing the capability in national meetings and developing working practices for the network.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and QA detailed organisational learning reports identifying learning and good practice whilst checking for adherence to policy.
- Conduct in-depth research using a range of police databases.
- Identify trends and patterns by analysing data in order to instigate organisational learning and close gaps in policy or guidance.
- Provide assistance and support to regional counter-terrorism units in relation to organisational learning.
- Promote organisational learning findings through presentations to regions when required.
- Support the development and implementation of organisational learning projects.
- Develop professional relationships and working groups with police CTUs, CTIUs, the Security Service, UK law enforcement agencies and key partners.
- Prepare comprehensive briefing papers as required.
- Represent the Interventions function and CTP at key strategic partnership and stakeholder meetings.
- Be willing to travel nationally, with some overnight commitments.
