About the Role

You will be essential in developing and maintaining the Service's Business Continuity Management Framework to ensure service delivery during emergencies and major incidents.

Key Duties:

  1. Develop and review Business Continuity plans with departments
  2. Maintain and update all relevant documentation, including plans and testing schedules
  3. Ensure regular testing of plans, and share lessons learned across the organisation
  4. Represent the Service at external meetings, including Local Resilience Forum
  5. Deliver Business Continuity training and awareness sessions for managers and staff

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  1. Strong background in business continuity and risk management
  2. Proactive and detail-oriented approach
  3. Skill in developing and maintaining continuity plans
  4. Excellent communication skills
  5. Ability to translate complex data into actionable plans
  6. Experience in delivering training sessions
  7. Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices (e.g. Civil Contingencies Act 2004, ISO BC 22301)

Experience & Qualifications Required

Experience:

  1. Experience in resilience planning and Business Continuity Management
  2. Experience in Quality Assurance
  3. Proven track record of producing clear and concise reports
  4. Experience in delivering presentations and training sessions

Qualifications:

  1. Certificate in Business Continuity Management or a relevant professional qualification in a related discipline (e.g., BC/Risk Management)
  2. Full, UK valid driving licence, as the role requires geographical mobility for multi-agency activities
