About the role

As a result of our incredible success and growth, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our wider Commercial function! You'll be working with our SDR's, Account Managers and Customer Success teams to onboard big name brands, with full responsibility over our German clients and growth within the German market as part of our expansion roadmap. You'll need to be fluent in German, and have the tenacity and determination to bring long term wins to your book of business here at Pion!

Responsibilities include:
  • Relationship management with affiliate networks
  • Growing and creating a "hit list" of brands to reach out to
  • Working with both SDR's and your Account Manager to ensure clients experience a smooth sales cycle
  • Travelling to meet clients in Europe and Germany
  • Management of the sales funnel from what goes into the pipeline, through to ensuring there is strong conversion between SDR and Business Development Manager stage
  • Full sales management cycle: Discovery calls, proposals, collaborating with various teams internally and externally during negotiations whilst striving to ensure you are closing deals
  • Developing relationships with brands and landing long term deals: this role isn't just about the "quick wins", it's about bringing on board brands who will generate repeat revenue and renewals.

We'd really like to hear from you, if you have

  • The ability to speak fluent German is absolutely critical to this role.
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, bringing on board mid-enterprise level European brands
  • Full sales cycle experience - including closing
  • Working with affiliate networks and understanding how they work is essential to the role.
  • Hitting and exceeding targets with proven experience of this
  • Experience in selling from a multi-faceted approach, with longer term sales cycles that generate continuous revenue
  • This is a hybrid role and you will be required two days a week in our London Office (Kentish Town)
