Job Description

Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager (UK Market) at Cirrus8 plays a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the commercial property management software sector. This individual will be instrumental in driving growth through strategic business development initiatives tailored to the UK market. Integral to this role is the ability to foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders, ensuring a robust network for business expansion. The role involves conducting in-depth market research to stay informed about current trends and competitor activities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be key to refining product offerings and elevating customer satisfaction.

Key Result Area (KRA)s: Business development
Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the Onboarding Teams on post-sale implementations, ongoing training, and account management to ensure client expectations are met and the product remains in constant use.
  2. Manage the opportunity funnel by analysing and controlling pipeline activities using HubSpot.
  3. Identify and execute cross-sale opportunities across the Cirrus8 product.
  4. Develop, implement, and continuously refine a strategic business development plan aimed at expanding our market share within the UK commercial property management software sector.
  5. Research business opportunities and viable income streams.
  6. Identify and analyse market trends, client needs, and competitor strategies to inform and adjust the business development approach.
  7. Manage the entire client acquisition process from initial contact through negotiations to closing deals.
  8. Establish and maintain strong relationships with new clients while nurturing existing client relationships to ensure continued business and potential upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  9. Provide insights and feedback from clients and market analysis to assist in developing effective marketing materials and sales strategies.
  10. Become an expert in the features, benefits, and applications of our commercial property management software to effectively communicate their value to clients.
  11. Offer product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients to showcase our software's capabilities.
  12. Regularly report on sales activities, market trends, client feedback, and business development progress to senior management.
  13. Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, customer service, and technical support, to ensure cohesive business strategies and client satisfaction.
  14. Stay informed about evolving trends in the commercial property management and software industries to ensure our business strategies remain relevant and effective.

To be successful you will have:

  2. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify issues, market trends, evaluate options, and provide recommendations.
  3. The ability to develop a deep understanding of the technology needs of commercial property management clients, Cirrus8 products, and where technology fits in their operations.
  4. A genuine love of sales, including positivity, resilience, and hunger for chasing the next deal.
  5. Proven experience in business development, preferably in the commercial property management or software industry.
  6. A natural disposition for collaboration and team working.
  7. Strong leadership skills.
  8. A passion for high levels of Client Service delivery.
  9. A flexible approach, able to operate effectively with uncertainty and change.
  10. Excellent time management & organisational skills.
  11. No issues with stepping into unfamiliar situations, developing creative solutions, deescalating critical issues, ensuring clients are positioned for success.
  12. Commercial Property experience advantageous.
