The purpose of the Strategy and Programme Manager for Global Sourcing is to provide direct support to the Global Sourcing Director and the Sourcing leadership team in creating & executing their strategic agenda. Proactively manage and deliver strategic initiatives, ensuring that all aspects of the product strategy are aligned with overall business goals.
What's the job:
- Assist with strategy development, supporting key meetings, and maintaining an effective governance cadence.
- Analyse business problems, proposing solutions, measuring and aligning performance metrics, and developing and implementing change plans to achieve business objectives.
- Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership.
- Support Global Sourcing Director and sourcing leadership team in crafting and delivering their holistic agenda.
- Own and lead the framework of governance and team events to ensure efficient and effective decision-making and communications.
- Prepare strategic topics for leadership meetings.
- Improve ongoing processes and coordinate procedures to ensure the efficiency and productivity of the sourcing leadership team.
- Ensure the communications plan is understood and implemented by the team.
- Build relationships with key colleagues in the team and broader organization to monitor and deliver on the strategic plans.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in a business manager/chief of staff role or equivalent skills.
- Strong skills in business communications tools including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- A well-rounded problem solver who can extract logic, insights, and meaningful conclusions from complex business problems.
- The ability to interact with top-tier management and broader team to build relationships.
- Experience in aligning action plans and facilitating the sharing of optimal ways of working across multiple remote teams.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills to extract insights from complex problems.
