Children's Services, Childrens Safeguarding Unit - 3rd Floor Magdalen House, Trinity Road, Bootle. L20 3NJ
Applications are invited for the above post. This post provides an exciting opportunity to join the Safeguarding Unit.
The main duties are to attend relevant child-focused meetings and produce comprehensive minutes in relation to these meetings, which may be required by the Court. Given the very nature of the work, the postholder must be able to deal with highly confidential and extremely sensitive information.
The postholder will also be required to communicate with social workers, independent reviewing officers, and professionals face-to-face and via email regarding such sensitive issues.
The successful candidate will be required to attend meetings face-to-face, which entails direct contact with families. It is therefore essential that the postholder has the ability to cope with these aspects of the role.
The postholder will need to be literate and numerate with good organizational and interpersonal skills. The ability to take clear and concise minutes is essential, as is a Word Processing qualification to RSAII/60 wpm or equivalent.
