Brief Description
To purchase goods and services for a specific commodity area in line with company procedures.
- Undertake full range of procurement activities including obtaining supplier prices, tendering negotiation and purchase order placement.
- Assist in the procurement of higher value and more complex commodities.
- Provision of dedicated support to senior staff in commodity area.
- Target specific goods, services and/or suppliers to identify how tangible improvements may be made in the procurement of these goods and services.
Essential:
- Commercial experience and aptitude.
- Understanding of procurement processes.
- Knowledge of procurement and competition legislation, procurement procedures, processes, systems and controls.
- Membership or training for qualifications in relevant professional institution.
