Job Description

The role

Working for the Head of Sourcing and sourcing lead, you will be responsible for delivering sourcing/tendering best practices across all FM categories and indirect categories as required (IT, Professional Services, HR, and Marketing). The candidate must be willing to support the wider procurement function with a willingness to get involved in the broader areas of supplier risk management if required. The focus of the role will be predominantly on tendering, supplier relationship management, and driving innovation, all through excellent internal and external stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  1. The role will require significant engagement with the business stakeholders to coach and support the teams in the delivery of sourcing best practices and Supplier Relationship Management.
  2. Lead in sourcing projects for all categories, supporting or leading all stages of the procurement lifecycle.
  3. Support the Supplier relationship management process for your suppliers, ensuring a review of each supplier and a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  4. Capturing initiatives and monitoring the delivery of the initiatives to ensure delivery.
  5. Support the supplier risk management team obtain all the required documentation from suppliers and ensure that the master supplier database is accurate and reflects the current contract status.
  6. Support the supplier risk team in times of high demand to ensure the supplier database is up to date, working as part of the wider procurement team.

Person specification

Qualifications/Key Skills

  1. Category management experience in FM and ideally experience in broader indirects (IT, Professional Services, HR, and Marketing).
  2. Excellent change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  3. Excellent supplier relationship management experience and negotiation.
  4. Sourcing tools (ideally Proactics) and supporting user adoption.
  5. Commercial and contract appreciation.
  6. Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
  7. IT literate MS Office at intermediate level.
  8. Stakeholder engagement and coaching experience.
  9. Highly numerate.
