Centric - IBM Software Engineer

For our client in the region of brussels, we are looking for an experienced IBM software engineer (dutch speaking).

As a medior Backend Software Engineer, you have at least 2-5 years of experience in creating designs and codes for back end software applications

• You comprehend the functional design, based on the functional specifications
• You draw up the program structure based on the technical design
• You create and execute tests cases, and modify existing programs for production
• You design related changes to be updated in the design document
• You conduct self & peer code review
• You resolve the assigned incidents and defects and track to closure
• You execute technical integration testing of the application in relation with interfacing applications

What project
Our application is situated in a AS400 environment and RPG is the used language. It's important that you are eager to learn and willing to search for solutions for unknown things in an independent way.
Experience in RPG language is necessary.
The job offers you flexibility and different kind of assignments: going from writing new code towards making a technical design or sometimes make the functional design. So you will experience a lot of variety in the job.
