What You Bring to ParsylAs a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for supporting clients and delivering Parsyl's best-in-class customer journey. You will support clients from First Notice of Loss (FNOL) until settlement, as well as supporting recovery and subrogation efforts. The role requires cross-collaboration across Parsyl's teams, from Data Science to Finance. Strong candidates for this position are excellent communicators both verbally and in writing, extremely meticulous, process-oriented, and inquisitive. A customer-focused mindset is crucial.
The Claims Adjuster will report to the Director of Claims. The job is a UK based position with a hybrid working environment.
In this role, you will lead on:- Cargo and Logistics Claims
- Customer Service: Deliver best-in-class service to customers from FNOL to file closure.
- Claims Handling: Investigate, adjust, and settle cargo and logistics claims.
- Recovery and Subrogation: Support recovery, subrogation, and salvage operations.
- Client Engagement: Have the opportunity to represent Parsyl in broker and client engagement.
- Claims Management: Lead claim management and act as the principal contact throughout the life cycle of a claim.
- Network Management: Manage a network of Third-Party Administrators (TPAs), surveyors, and lawyers.
- Internal Process Optimization
- Process Refinement: Analyze, refine, and iterate on internal processes to improve efficiency and ensure accuracy.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly reports for internal and external audiences.
- Trend Analysis: Work closely with the Partnerships and Data teams to identify developing claims trends.
- At least five years experience in claims handling, with at least two of those years handling complex claims.
- Strong Communicators: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with picking up the phone and calling stakeholders to get answers to questions.
- Organizational Skills: Demonstrated strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to quickly learn and problem-solve with a passion for reducing operational inefficiencies and pain points.
- Collaborative Orientation: Willingness to dig deep and ask questions to ensure a thorough understanding of complex risks. Ability to work well with others in a supportive team environment.
- Additional language skills, including Spanish.
- Experience specifically in marine cargo claims.
- Previous experience working with an insurtech.
