BD team - The BD & marketing team is responsible for practice group and sector BD, client development, event management, brand and online marketing, and communications and PR.
The client development team are relationship management specialists who work closely with lawyers to develop and service a group of our most important clients. The Client Development Executive will report into a Client Relationship Manager, and will work closely with the client development team, strategic bids function, and wider international BD team.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Client Development Executive will play an important role in supporting our client development programmes which are central to the firm's strategy to drive profitable revenue growth.
The role will include-
Client relationship support:
- Supporting the client development team in providing proactive relationship support to client teams and executing relationship plans for some of our most important relationships. Including for example, supporting key client events, preparing client facing materials and digital content, and tracking and driving client engagement with firm events and BD initiatives.
- Helping to research client organisations and key client contacts for client planning and relationship mapping purposes.
- Providing insights into client opportunities through analysis that encompasses assessing competitor landscape, revenue, and work opportunities.
Client reporting:
- Taking ownership for producing and sharing regular client reports, as well as financial analysis and management information (MI), using the firm's financial reporting and other systems to comply with internal and external panel obligations.
Client programme infrastructure:
- Supporting the Head of Client Development on delivery of the infrastructure required to deliver the firm's key and sector client programmes.
- Supporting on strategic projects led by the client development team, for example the design and running of a flagship leadership programme for GCs.
- Preparing reports and internal comms to share client and programme updates.
Client listening programme:
- Supporting the Head of Client Development in implementing the firm's client listening programme.
- Helping to track and analyse feedback and themes to be shared to improve service delivery.
Strategic bids and proposals:
- Assisting in the preparation and coordination of strategic bids and proposals for winning new work.
- Helping to track and manage panel terms and firm relationships centrally.
- This role would suit someone who has experience in client development, business development, marketing or a similar role within a professional services environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- The ability to work autonomously, with proven project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A degree or professional qualification in business, marketing, law, or a related field is a plus.
