The Vacancy

Our Third Party Administration (TPA) department is a dynamic team managing a varied portfolio of clients. We provide market-leading services on Defined Benefits (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), and CARE pension arrangements.

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join as a Client Relationship Manager in one of our four offices on a full-time basis.

What will your role look like?

You will combine relationship management skills with technical administration knowledge to ensure quality service delivery and contribute to developing new business opportunities with a proposition-led focus.

Key tasks include:
  • Managing the TPA relationship with clients, ensuring alignment with profit and revenue targets, including handling out-of-scope work.
  • Utilizing your understanding of our products and services to enhance or introduce service offerings.
  • Leading the creation of annual client development plans and budgets in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Initiating and managing client recovery plans when service levels fall short.
  • Designing and overseeing service projects, ensuring clear communication.
  • Collaborating on shared client relationships and joint commercial activities.
  • Supporting Client Directors with contract and service order reviews.
  • Maintaining internal communication regarding client plans, risks, and opportunities.
  • Preparing for and attending client meetings, taking appropriate actions.
  • Managing the firm's position during client disputes or service issues.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Extensive experience in pension administration (DB, DC, CARE).
  • A proven track record in managing TPA client relationships in a commercial setting.
  • Experience in scoping, costing, and delivering TPA projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • An understanding of market trends and a strategic vision for TPA business.
  • The motivation to foster collaborative, consultative relationships, especially during change.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills.
  • A pragmatic approach to decision-making and prioritization.

Ideally, candidates will hold or be working towards a professional qualification such as Associate Membership of the Pension Management Institute, or bring relevant industry experience.
