WF CAMHS Clinical Lead - Alliance (Complex and Unplanned Care/ Crisis Prevention)

Are you a passionate and experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)? Are you ready to take on a leadership role and guide a team delivering mental health support to children and young people?

At NELFT, we are dedicated to continuously improving CAMHS provision across Waltham Forest in collaboration with our commissioners. Our Alliance Team is at the forefront of this innovative work, and we are seeking an inspiring Clinical Lead to drive the development and delivery of exceptional care within the Alliance/Complex Care Team.

We're looking for a professional registered with the appropriate regulatory body (e.g., HCPC, NMC), with proven CAMHS experience and a passion for leading others.

Main duties of the job

As the Clinical Lead, you will:

  • Provide clinical leadership to the Alliance team, ensuring high standards of evidence-based practice.
  • Oversee assessments and treatment interventions for children and young people.
  • Support and guide colleagues across the wider CAMHS service, fostering collaboration and professional development.
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping the service, driving innovation, and improving outcomes.
Person specification Qualifications
  • A recognised health discipline i.e. Nursing (RGN), Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist or other appropriate qualification
  • Registration with the appropriate professional and State measurement i.e. Application Form Interview Assessment regulatory bodies (NMC, HCPC, GSW, AFT and UKCP)
  • Evidence of on-going personal and professional development
Skills & Knowledge
  • An awareness of NHS Priorities
  • Knowledge of the UK legislation in relation to the health and welfare services to children and adolescents and mental health.
Experience
  • At least three years experience in delivering mental health interventions in a CAMHS (or similar child and adolescent mental health) setting.
  • Demonstrable experience of improving quality for service users and carers
  • Experience of delivering Supervision
