The Opportunity:
To become a member of Professor Andrew Horne's research team, specialising in women's health research. This is an exciting opportunity to become a member of a growing team researching ways to improve diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis and pain.
We are looking for a clinical research nurse to participate as a member of a clinical research trials team which has responsibility for running multicentre clinical trials.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); but due to the nature of the position hours can be flexible.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- First level registered nurse with Band 5 or relevant experience demonstrating the appropriate competencies and skills (particularly communication, organisation) for the job.
- Previous experience of conducting patient identification and recruitment; and obtaining informed patient consent for clinical research studies of a diverse nature is desirable but not essential.
- Relevant research experience includes awareness of ICH GCP Guidelines, EU Clinical Trials Directive and Research Governance Framework.
- Team-working skills and the ability to work using own initiative.
- Effective communication and time management skills.
