Freelance Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Belgium

Duration: 9 months

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and maintain cloud environments using Azure services (VMs, Virtual Networks, Storage, AKS, App Services).
• Implement and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
• Ensure Azure environments align with security best practices, compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIS2), and identity management (Azure AD, RBAC).
• Configure Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for performance tracking, cost optimization, and proactive issue resolution.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for automated deployments and infrastructure updates.
• Manage hybrid cloud connectivity, VPNs, ExpressRoute, and Azure Firewall for secure and scalable network solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve cloud-related issues, ensuring high availability and business continuity.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Azure services (Compute, Networking, Security, Kubernetes).
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks).
• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
