The Commercial Finance Director will report to the Group CFO, and will assume responsibility for oversight & management of the full finance function. This will include management of the finance team, budgeting and forecasting for the group, managing banking relationships, and implementing improvements with internal controls and processes. An added responsibility will be the management of all contracts, including pricing, negotiation, and management of all new & existing contracts, working closely with the commercial team to ensure maximum return. To be considered for the role of Commercial Finance Director, it is essential to have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within the construction sector; however, candidates from other industry sectors with strong commercial acumen will be considered.
Please note, given the jurisdiction of this role, travel between sites will be expected.
About you
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5+ years working in a senior leadership role
- Strong commercial acumen, with proven contract management/negotiation experience
- Excellent communication skills to motivate internal employees, alongside influencing board members
- Previous experience within engineering/construction or similar environment
- Experience of working closely with MD/Owner/Directors
- Available to start at short notice
