Job Description
COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER Hours: 35 hours per week Shift pattern: Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00 Salary: Competitive Location: Hybrid - Norwich

This role is a UK based role and any hybrid/remote work must also be within the UK.

ABOUT YOU

You will have proven experience in a Commercial Finance Manager role, preferably 3+ years in a medium to large organisation. You will also have significant experience in developing and presenting financial business cases to senior stakeholders.

You will have worked on projects involving process improvement, cost optimisation, or digital transformation and have exposure to working with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and operations. You will have gained the following professional qualification: ACCA, CIMA, CPA.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Finance Manager to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving financial performance, providing strategic insights, and supporting business growth. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments as the key Finance business partner for the MD of our Consumer brands based in Norwich.

A core focus of this role is the development of comprehensive financial reporting and business cases that provide clear insight and justification for proposed projects, ensuring decision-makers have the information required to evaluate investments. Leveraging financial modelling, data analysis, and risk assessment techniques to prepare cases that align with organisational goals and priorities is essential. These business cases are critical for securing funding, demonstrating ROI, and aligning resources effectively.

The role also involves identifying inefficiencies or opportunities within current processes and proposing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and support long-term strategic objectives. By collaborating across departments, the Commercial Finance Manager ensures that proposed solutions are feasible, practical, and add measurable value to the organisation.

Additionally, this role requires excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to ensure alignment between business units, IT teams, and external partners. The Commercial Finance Manager must present findings, proposals, and recommendations in a manner that is both detailed and accessible, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.

The Commercial Finance Manager will be a proactive contributor to the organisation's growth and efficiency. Their efforts ensure that projects and initiatives are strategically planned, financially viable, and operationally successful, positioning the organisation to achieve its objectives in an efficient, cost-effective manner.
