Job Description
The Commercial Solicitor will be:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including IT agreements.
- Providing comprehensive legal advice to stakeholders across the organisation.
- Assisting with procurement processes to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Advising on consumer law matters relevant to the retail industry.
- Managing litigation cases and coordinating with external counsel as needed.
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance standards and company policies.
- Developing and updating internal policies and procedures to reflect current legislation.
The Successful Applicant
The Commercial Solicitor should be:
- A solicitor or equivalent with 4+ years PQE.
- Experienced in general commercial law, particularly in handling IT contracts.
- Proficient in providing legal advice within a corporate environment.
- Knowledgeable about consumer law and regulatory compliance in the retail sector.
- Skilled in managing litigation and coordinating with external legal advisors.
