COMMUNITY ADULT PSYCHIATRY SENIOR TRAINEE (ST4-6) DOCTOR NELFT North East London Foundation Trust

COMMUNITY ADULT PSYCHIATRY SENIOR TRAINEE (ST4-6) DOCTOR MHWT - SOUTH

(WALTHAMSTOW)

Contract: Fixed-Term: 5 months (06.03.25 - 05.08.25)

Hours: Full-time: 40 hours per week

Location: Jane Atkinson Health and Wellbeing Centre, 714 Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17 3HP

Qualifications needed:

  1. Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
  2. Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
  3. Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults
  4. At least 3 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) in mental health.

Job responsibilities

You will be expected to:

  1. Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adults with mental health needs, across the Southern part of Waltham Forest.
  2. Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.
  3. Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
  4. Work directly with adult people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers, and acute hospitals.
  5. Work alongside the 2wte Consultant Psychiatrists, 1wte Specialty Doctor, and 1wte Core Trainee, and 1.2wte GPvTS within the service.
  6. Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care.
  7. Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative.
  8. Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.

Experience

Salary

£52,013 to £64,288 a year pro rata
