COMMUNITY ADULT PSYCHIATRY SENIOR TRAINEE (ST4-6) DOCTOR MHWT - SOUTH
(WALTHAMSTOW)
Contract: Fixed-Term: 5 months (06.03.25 - 05.08.25)
Hours: Full-time: 40 hours per week
Location: Jane Atkinson Health and Wellbeing Centre, 714 Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17 3HP
Qualifications needed:
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
- Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults
- At least 3 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) in mental health.

- Essential understanding of current developments in mental health care,

You will be expected to:
- Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adults with mental health needs, across the Southern part of Waltham Forest.
- Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.
- Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
- Work directly with adult people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers, and acute hospitals.
- Work alongside the 2wte Consultant Psychiatrists, 1wte Specialty Doctor, and 1wte Core Trainee, and 1.2wte GPvTS within the service.
- Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care.
- Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative.
- Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
- Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Salary£52,013 to £64,288 a year pro rata
