Your Job
As Community Marketing Manager, you will build and grow Statista's professional community for modern market, consumer, and competitor researchers. From the ground up, you will create a dynamic space where industry professionals come together to share insights, discuss trends, and engage with exclusive content and events.
This is a new role, designed for a builder-someone who can develop the strategy, formats, and engagement loops that turn individual interactions into an active, high-value network. You'll create a space where researchers, analysts, and decision-makers connect, learn, and establish Statista as the go-to community for professionals navigating today's markets.
Reporting to the Global Head of Product Marketing, you will own community engagement initiatives, scale event-driven conversations, and drive content experiences that bring together leading minds in research, strategy, and competitive intelligence.
This role will be based in Germany or London, and strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Statista's first community engagement strategy, creating a structured approach to attracting, engaging, and growing a professional audience.
- Help position Statista as the leading community for modern market, consumer, and competitor researchers, creating a space for knowledge exchange and professional connections.
- Launch and scale event-driven engagement, turning in-person and digital events into ongoing relationship-building and lead-nurturing channels.
- Create and manage content-driven engagement formats (AMAs, Q&As, expert panels, webinars) to foster long-term participation.
- Shape and refine a distinct community voice, ensuring messaging resonates across all engagement channels.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to integrate community initiatives into broader business strategies.
- Experiment with new engagement tactics to strengthen participation, track effectiveness, and optimize for growth.
- Develop and pitch a scalable plan for a future community hub, ensuring long-term strategic alignment across teams.
Your Skills
- 3-5 years in community growth, engagement marketing, or audience development.
- Proven success in building and scaling professional communities that drive engagement and business impact.
- Experience executing high-impact digital & in-person events that foster relationships and engagement beyond attendance.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills in English, with the ability to craft compelling content that drives participation.
- Self-starter who thrives in building from scratch, testing, and iterating quickly.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, taking ownership, and driving initiatives forward independently.
- Exceptional ability to work across teams, aligning marketing, sales, and product stakeholders.
