Job Description

As such, Direct Medics are working in partnership to find an experienced and dedicated Consultant to fulfill this permanent Forensic Psychiatry role based in Taunton, Devon, providing a comprehensive support to a range of medium and low secure mental health inpatient services, including male, female, and LD+A wards. As such, there will be a caseload of approximately 15-20 inpatients, with the opportunity for career development as you will have access to excellent CPD opportunities There is a successful and supportive group of enthusiastic and high-calibre doctors to work with and study leave funding to support your continuing education and training in line with your goals.

Requirements:

• Full GMC registration
• MRCPsych or equivalent.
• To be on the Specialty Register for Forensic Psychiatry or General Psychiatry with forensic experience.
• To be able to lead and work within multi-disciplinary teams.
• To be in good CPD standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists and to have had an appraisal within the last year.
• AC and Section 12(2) approval.
