As a consultant, you will be a pillar of knowledge and expertise for your colleagues, using your experience to help treat children and young people up to the age of 18 with a range of mental health conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, depression, and eating disorders.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
As a Consultant Psychiatrist for CAMHS (Learning Disability), with Sussex Partnership you will:
- Provide treatment for families, children, and adolescents, tailored to individual needs in a multi-disciplinary setting.
- Assess families, children, and adolescents who present with a mental health issue and have a learning disability aged 5 to 18 years old.
- Consult and collaborate with other agencies in the assessment and treatment of complex cases.
- Meet and consult with other members of the team and members of the Children's Health Services, including Community Paediatricians.
- Plan and co-ordinate mental health services for children, adolescents, and families where appropriate.
- Prepare professional assessments and reports on those children or young people known to you.
- Participate in medical audit and evaluation.
Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications
Essential
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a license to practice at the time of appointment.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within 6 months.
- Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
- Holds and will use a valid UK driving license OR provides evidence of proposed alternative.
