Job Title: Contracts Manager
Salary: £60,000 per annum
Travel required: 80% office/ 20% travel
I'm working with a leading company of geotechnical and foundation engineering, specialising in cutting-edge techniques such as Rotary Bored Piling, CFA Piling, Mini-piling, and ground improvement methodologies including Vibro Stone Columns and Grouting.
They are seeking a talented and experienced Contracts Manager to join their team based in Downpatrick, Northern Ireland.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of projects, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards. You will manage site teams, contribute to tender preparation, procure materials and plant, conduct post-job reviews, and lead operations meetings.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day operations of projects.
- Ensure projects are run efficiently, focusing on health, safety, environment, quality, productivity, cost control, performance, and customer service.
- Contribute to the preparation of tender documents, including pre-contract planning.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments for projects.
- Procure materials and plant for projects.
- Complete post-job reviews.
- Attend/chair operations meetings.
- Previous civil engineering site experience.
- Degree or equivalent in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs (Word, Excel, MS Project).
- Strong communication skills.
- Program management experience.
- Commercial awareness, including understanding contractual requirements such as NEC3 and JCT.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Full UK driving license.
- NEBOSH qualification.
- Chartered Engineer membership.
