Job Description

Hawkins\Brown are looking to appoint a Contracts Manager to work with the Project Delivery Lead to help manage negotiation of our architect's appointments and sub-consultant agreements and to facilitate the internal startup and interim project reviews.

The role includes working with our insurers and legal advisers in identifying T&Cs in our appointments that we would like to negotiate, to improve risk management generally, and to help the project architects understand and work to the project scope and key T&Cs of the appointment.

This role sits within the Specialist Design Studio (SDS) at Hawkins\Brown. The SDS has been set up to provide support to the H\B project teams in project delivery, technical design, BIM coordination, sustainability and computational design.

The role will support projects across all Hawkins\Brown offices in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Dublin and Toronto.

Level of Qualification:

Qualification in a construction-related subject and/or contract law. Experience in contract law and ideally architect's (or engineer's) appointments. Candidates who do not have this level of qualification but have significant relevant experience will be considered.

Skills required:
  • Strong working knowledge of construction-related professional services contracts
  • Experience providing support in a project environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Meticulous and highly conscientious
  • High level of experience with MS Office Suite
