YOUR ROLEOur multi-user operation based in Tamworth who provides warehousing and distribution services have an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute and customer centric Contract Manager, where you will provide leadership and contract management dedicated across multiple contracts.
This crucial role will see you building exceptional relationships with clients, where you will create and embed a culture of high performance, engagement, continuous improvement and development across your team driving operational and customer service excellence meeting and exceeding all customer and operational objectives.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?Reporting into the General Manager, you will lead a small operational team dedicated to specific clients within our multi-user operation where you will be responsible for the allocation of work monitoring performance in terms of financial, quality, safety, and service delivery. You will work with the Depot Manager and financial teams to discuss P&L accountabilities for the clients, to analyse contractual profitability and prepare monthly and quarterly reports and business reviews for the clients. You will support in the implementation of new objectives or contractual obligations and secure contract development and renewal through various operational achievements.
To ensure operational activities are effectively and efficiently managed you will work in close partnership with on-site operational leads and the clients to embed collaboration and instil customer service and operational excellence activities, sharing best practice approaches and actively promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and employee engagement across your team.
The role will be 70% operational based, directing your team, driving high standards and clear communication strategies, being hands on and 30% client reporting, presenting, and communicating on contract performance.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?To be successful in your application you will be an accomplished contract manager or operations manager, who has proven experience of working within a 3PL environment and a strong understanding of warehousing and transportation operations. You will possess strong leadership skills with proven experience of managing operational teams and be experienced in formulating strategies and producing and coordinating budgets.
It goes without saying that you will have excellent communication skills and will be able to interact, engage and present to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will be a natural problem solver, negotiator and influencer with the ability to make crucial decisions to benefit the contract and operation.
