Job Description
The Operations Director is responsible for managing and overseeing Scouting, Land Acquisition, Development, Construction, and O&M activities. This role involves managing organizational, technical, and financial aspects within the limits of delegated authority. The Director is also in charge of the managerial supervision of their team.
Working Relationships:
Internally:
- Reporting to hierarchical supervisor
- Support services: legal, finance, accounting, etc.
- Supporting the HQ teams
Externally:
- Suppliers, subcontractors, partners, local authorities and Italian administration, landowners, clients, etc.
Description of Key Activities:
- Defining strategy with the General Management.
- Managing relationships with partners and participating in governance bodies of various partnerships.
- Supervising and managing project budgets.
- Providing support for international subsidiaries.
- Developing strategic partnerships (technical, investors, etc.).
- Coordinating responses to calls for projects and contributing to the definition of response strategies.
- Participating in financing activities.
The above duties are necessarily subject to evolution and may be supplemented or adapted as needed.
Responsibilities and Scope of Action:
- Supervising management teams and leading/coordinating all teams.
- Member of the Management Committee (CODIR).
- Planning, assessing, and optimizing the alignment of resources with technical, organizational, and human needs.
- Anticipating risks (technical, financial, legal, contractual, client-related) and implementing preventive and adaptive measures to manage them.
- Preparing, optimizing, and monitoring budgets (including controlling accounting and financial indicators).
- Setting objectives and supporting team members in their professional development.
- Regularly reporting on actions taken, project progress, and encountered issues.
- Providing comprehensive reporting.
Specific Professional Knowledge:
- Master's degreefrom a business or engineering school, or equivalent degree and/or 8 to 10 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency in commercial and negotiation techniques.
- Expertise in team management and leadership.
- Knowledge of local authorization processes.
- Strong organizational and rigorous work methods.
- Tenacity.
- Ability to prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in office tools.
- Project management expertise.
- Strong writing skills.
- Professional proficiency in English.
