The Role.

We are looking for an accomplished and driven Corporate Strategy professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong history of developing and implementing effective strategic plans. This role entails spearheading the creation of our company's long-term strategic vision, alongside identifying and evaluating growth opportunities and trade-offs. Collaborating with the executive team, this individual will ensure alignment between our strategic plans and broader business objectives.

Day to day responsibilities.

  • Support the raising of equity and debt funding, through building forecasts, preparing supporting materials including investor memorandums and coordinating due diligence materials.
  • Champion Zilch's growth strategy by identifying, assessing, and driving the execution of potential mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures.
  • Investigate industry trends and growth opportunities within existing business areas and new domains. Synthesize data-driven insights to present compelling perspectives to diverse stakeholders, including executives.
  • Articulate clear rationales and associated risks for proposed strategic initiatives through persuasive oral and written communication, always considering Zilch's overarching interests.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive long-term strategic plans.
  • Identify and navigate trade-offs across the business, helping to guide effective use of capital.
  • Conduct scenario modeling and business case analysis for cross-departmental initiatives, integrating these into the business planning process.
  • Present insights and recommendations confidently to key stakeholders, including C-suite.

What we're looking for.

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including multiple successful M&A transactions and equity/debt investments, ideally from a corporate/strategic background.
  • Enthusiastic work ethic, dedicated to continuous learning, and professionally inquisitive.
  • An analytical mind who is creative and able to solve problems with a balance of independence and well-solicited input.
  • An individual who can operate in a fast-growing business, comfortable with ambiguity and able to strike a balance between speed and accuracy.
  • Complete mastery of complex financial modeling while invoking collaboration and ownership from across the business.
  • Comfortable with a team-oriented and collaborative approach to achieving impact, balanced with independent thought leadership.
  • Proven capability in influencing stakeholders at the leadership level.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, projecting executive presence.
  • Ideally, a background in payments, software, technology, and/or financial services industries.
