Job Description

Nelson Bostock is looking for an experienced Creative Artworker to join its growing content and communications team, working across high profile B2B brands.

As a Creative Artworker at Nelson Bostock, you'll be a valued member of our dynamic design and content team. We're in a period of exciting growth, and our focus is on building a team that understands, has a passion for, and delivers exceptional creative craft across all accounts and projects - regardless of budget or timeframe.

This is a hybrid role which for us means a mix of working from home and our office in Soho, London.

What we'd like to see from you
  • Demonstrate and share your deep understanding of design principles, typography and colour theory.
  • A technical understanding that is second-to-none, whatever the channel and output.
  • Collaborate with designers to develop visually stunning and innovative creative concepts that are both scalable and technically excellent.
  • Create high-quality layouts that are engaging, effective, and aligned with brand objectives.
  • Demonstrate exceptional skills in creative comping and retouching to create visually stunning compositions that bring design concepts to life.
  • Natural curiosity, you'll look at innovative ways of working, plan ahead and foresee snags in the road.
  • The ability to work at pace and juggle multiple projects, whilst maintaining a professional demeanour during busy periods and in situations of ambiguity.
  • A keen eye for detail, a passion for crafting visually stunning work and a commitment to quality.
  • You'll work well in partnerships, internally with other Creatives, Client Services and the wider content team.
  • You have visual best practices on social media.
  • Use advanced retouching techniques to enhance and refine creative assets.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our work remains relevant and competitive.
What you will need to succeed
  • Ideally you should have experience in a similar role (ideally within an agency or studio) in commercial design, with a portfolio of work across digital, social and print to show.
  • Experience rolling campaign creative across all deliverables considering typography, layout, and accessibility for each output, including press, social, web, and digital display.
  • Good knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and Figma is essential.
  • Good working knowledge of PowerPoint (templates/masters, animations/builds, general layouts) is preferred.
  • Understanding of HTML and CSS, the capabilities, and limitations of web technologies is preferred.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication and inter-personal skills.
  • A good sense of humour and a positive outlook towards change and challenges.
  • A proactive, positive mindset, self-motivated and open to collaboration.
  • You'll be hungry to learn and improve on your existing skill sets.
  • Passionate about great design and have a keen eye for detail and craft.
  • You're a good listener and practical problem solver who can work autonomously.
