About You

The Customer Acquisition & Growth Director will lead and shape the strategic direction of all new customer acquisition and paid digital marketing efforts, driving measurable growth for Oner Active. This senior leader will oversee all paid digital media, affiliate marketing, and partnerships, including influencer sponsorships and athlete ambassador programs. As a key member of the leadership team, the Growth Director will collaborate across functions to ensure marketing initiatives align with brand objectives, deliver on performance metrics, and fuel sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development and Execution:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive customer acquisition strategy across all performance marketing channels, including paid social (e.g., Meta), paid search, affiliate networks, and partnerships.
  • Own the new customer acquisition funnel, optimizing for cost-effectiveness and scalability.
  • Determine resource allocation model for performance marketing delivery, including assessing the optimal balance between in-house capabilities and external partnerships.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging marketing trends and technologies to stay ahead in a competitive landscape.

Channel Management:

  • Paid Digital Media: Oversee strategy and performance for paid social, paid search, and programmatic campaigns.
  • Develop a clear programme of content testing and innovation in creative in partnership with external partners, optimising for best-in-class acquisition and revenue performance whilst staying true to brand values.
  • Affiliate Marketing: Manage affiliate partnerships with publishers, bloggers, and networks to extend reach and acquire new customers. Create and refine a tailored compensation and incentive structure for affiliates to maximize performance and maintain engagement.
  • Leverage data to monitor affiliate performance, identifying opportunities for growth through additional investment in high-performing partners or by onboarding new affiliates.
  • Partnerships & Sponsorships: Develop and manage the brand's influencer marketing strategy, including identifying, onboarding, and nurturing relationships with influencers, athlete ambassadors, and content creators who align with the brand's mission and target audience.
  • Establish clear goals and KPIs for partnerships, balancing brand visibility, engagement, and new customer acquisition, while ensuring measurable ROI on sponsorship initiatives.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and competitor strategies to identify innovative opportunities for collaborations and partnerships.

Team Leadership:

  • Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing acquisition marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Focus on the professional growth and skills development of team members, providing regular feedback, coaching, and tailored development plans to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Cultivate an environment where creativity and data-driven decision-making coexist, empowering team members to take ownership of their channels and innovate boldly.
  • Act as a role model, demonstrating a balance of strategic vision and hands-on involvement, and fostering strong cross-functional relationships to amplify the team's success.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns are integrated and impactful.

Performance Analysis:

  • Define, track, and report on KPIs for all acquisition marketing efforts, including CAC, LTV, and ROAS.
  • Use data-driven insights to continuously optimise channel performance and allocate resources effectively.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting frameworks that provide actionable insights for the leadership team and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with analytics teams to implement advanced tracking, attribution, and testing methodologies, ensuring a clear understanding of channel effectiveness and customer behaviours.

Budget Management:

  • Own the customer acquisition budget, ensuring efficient allocation across channels and initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate the cost-effectiveness of marketing investments, rebalancing budgets as needed to capitalise on high-performing initiatives or emerging opportunities.
  • Maintain rigorous financial discipline, ensuring campaigns deliver on performance metrics while staying within budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to forecast acquisition spending and align marketing investments with broader company financial goals.
  • Proactively communicate budget performance, risks, and opportunities to the leadership team, ensuring transparency and alignment on financial priorities.

You'll need to have:

  • 12+ years of experience in performance marketing, with a strong preference for experience in a high-growth direct to consumer brand.
  • Proven track record of scaling customer acquisition efforts for a high-growth brand.
  • Deep expertise in paid social, paid search, affiliate marketing, and influencer/partnership marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills with a results-oriented mindset; experience using data to inform decisions and optimize campaigns.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team.
  • Experience in activewear, beauty, or similar lifestyle brands is a plus.
