Job Description
Freelance Functional Analyst - IT
We are currently looking for a Freelance Functional Analyst to join an exciting project within the banking sector.
If you have a strong analytical mindset, experience with Document Management Systems (DMS), and a passion for creating effective IT solutions, this opportunity is for you!

Location: Brussels (50% remote)
Languages: English + French or Dutch
Contract: 12 month

Your role
As a Functional Analyst, you will act as the crucial link between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring seamless integration of IT systems.

Your main tasks will include
  • Collaborating with business analysts to define and propose effective solutions aligned with enterprise architecture
  • Translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications
  • Designing application components and ensuring all involved IT teams understand the client's needs
  • Coordinating with architects, project managers, and product owners
  • Supporting development and testing teams to guarantee solutions meet functional requirements
  • Assisting with deployment, incident analysis, and documentation updates post-implementation

What we're looking for
  • 8+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst
  • Solid understanding of IT systems and their functionalities
  • Familiarity with DMS solutions and experience in the banking sector
  • Knowledge of BPM, UML, and sequence diagrams is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a team-oriented mindset
  • Agile experience (Scrum) is an asset
