Data Analyst - financial regulatory

London Based Investment Bank seeks a Data Analyst. You will have experience in the financial regulatory environment and requirements for managing and retaining data. A background involving regulation of data and processes is essential. Knowledge of object storage solutions, archiving solutions, and similar technologies is required. You will be responsible for producing and maintaining documentation and must have the ability to interact with business stakeholders and technical staff at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide business end-user software support.
2. Understand networks and any scripting language (Unix/Linux/Python, etc.).
3. Knowledge of architecting and deploying long-term offline, near-line, and online data retention solutions.
4. Apply data lifecycle and information lifecycle principles.
5. Manage data retention and control for the bank.
6. Set retention of data in backups, archives, and online stores based on input from data owners and relevant business lines.
7. Manage IT aspects of data collection, gathering, and delivery for global and local investigations supporting business departments such as Compliance and Legal.
8. Effectively manage the interfaces of archives and backups ensuring consistency of retention.
9. Support the ongoing baseline backup storage infrastructure for the bank.

This firm offers hybrid working, with 2 days a week in their London Offices. Salary up to £80,000 + Bonus and Benefits.
