Job Description

A Data Business Analyst to develop a Data Analytics & Reporting platform.

Work closely with business stakeholders to capture and define requirements.

Job Description

  1. Translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  2. Analyse and interpret complex data sets.
  3. Collaborate with IT teams to design data systems and prepare for implementation.
  4. Facilitate training sessions and workshops on new systems.
  5. Maintain communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives.
  6. Monitor data integrity and create strategies for data quality improvement.
  7. Document processes and conduct business readiness assessments.
  8. Support the development of project plans and timelines.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Business Analyst should have:

  1. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  2. Strong knowledge of business process modelling and data structuring.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  4. The ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  5. A problem-solving mindset with a strong attention to detail.
  6. Knowledge of cloud environments (Google cloud is a plus).
  7. Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and reporting. Also, data warehousing concepts and tools such as Big Query.
  8. Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI and Tableau).
  9. Experience of working with banking products such as Mortgages, Loans, Deposits, Foreign Exchange, Bonds and Interest Rate Derivatives.
  10. Banking experience preferred.
