Data Engineer Leicester Hybrid
My client based is Leicester is growing! After successfully hiring a number of developers it's the Business Intelligence Teams turn!
Working in the BI team this role will see you using modern toolsets within the Microsoft Stack to manage day to day integration, developer ETL processes and enable data integration into the existing systems!
This is a newly created role due to growth and the core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Data Management & Integration: Design, maintain, and optimise SQL Server-based data warehouse solutions.
- ETL Development: Lead the development and management of ETL processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of data for regulatory reporting.
- Regulatory Reporting: Collaborate with compliance and finance teams to ensure all regulatory data reporting requirements are met.
- Data Analysis & Remediation: Perform data analysis, identify inconsistencies, and provide solutions to resolve data quality issues. Remediate Legacy reporting solutions to align with current business and regulatory needs.
- Documentation: Create and maintain high-quality technical and functional documentation for both new and existing data systems and applications.
Skills for the role:
- Experience as a Data Engineer or similar role in the financial services sector or other highly regulated sectors.
- Regulatory Reporting: Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements in the financial sector, particularly those related to data reporting, compliance, and audits.
- SQL Server & Data Warehousing: Expertise in SQL Server and data warehousing methodologies. Experience in schema design, data integration, ETL orchestration using SSIS or Snap Logic (preferred), and optimisation techniques.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the Microsoft Stack, including .NET, C#, and SSRS.
- Excellent skills in SPROC and Function development to support the SQL environment.
- Experience with Azure and cloud technologies is a plus.
Desired Skills include:
- Familiarity with MS Common Data Model and MS Dynamics.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- Experience with ETLs and using Snap Logic.
- Exposure to Power Platform for data integration and development.
- Previous involvement in high-regulated and control-focused businesses.
- Use of Financial services regulatory reporting software is desirable.
