Job Description
Job Title: Data Governance Analyst

As a Data Governance Analyst, you will support the Data Governance Manager in implementing and maintaining the organisation's data governance framework. Your role will involve ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance across various data domains. You will work closely with data owners, data stewards, and IT teams to enforce data governance policies and procedures and support Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in developing and articulating the organisation's data governance vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  2. Support the activation and enforcement of the data governance program vision.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders, including IT teams, business units, and data owners.
  4. Ensure master data is accurately represented, consistently defined, and easily accessible.
  5. Provide training and guidance on data governance principles, policies, and procedures.
  6. Establish mechanisms for governance oversight, including reviews and audits.
  7. Ensure compliance with data regulations and manage data-related risks.
  8. Support the Data Governance Manager in leading council meetings and decision-making processes.
Location & Working Pattern

Base Location: Reading - Hybrid. Working Pattern: 36 Hours/week.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
  • Experience with MDM initiatives.
  • Familiarity with tools like Azure Purview.
  • Proficient in data management tools and technologies.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in agile project management methods.
  • Experience with big data cloud approaches.
Benefits
