Job Description

Denholm are delighted to be partnering exclusively with our financial services client in the search for a Data Lead on a contract basis.

This role is a day rate role, initially for 12 months.
You need to be able to start 1st April 2025.
This role is primarily remote working, but will require 2 days on client site per month.

This role requires someone from a financial services background, with experience within retail banking. Looking for a dynamic individual to lead key MI and reporting projects with experience of the full delivery lifecycle.

Key skills and knowledge:

  • Proven experience in leading data, MI & Reporting projects in UK financial services or in similar roles.
  • Providing thought leadership regarding Data for the MI / Regulatory Reporting Workstream.
  • Managing the SI Partner with regards to their data provision for MI / Regulatory Reporting.
  • Lead on Design.
  • Leading on conceptual and logical data models.
  • Data Lake / Data Modelling knowledge.
  • Hands-on expertise in data management, reporting, and analytics.
  • Ability to engage with business stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure alignment with requirements and strategy.
  • Co-ordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business intelligence, and analytics to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Experience in aligning the data strategy and design to business objectives driving value and support decision making.
  • Proven ability to oversee E2E delivery lifecycle from inception to deployment.
  • Proficient in data management tools, reporting software, and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Knowledge of UK Regulations FCA, PRA is advantageous.
  • Experience using collaboration tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and Microsoft Tools including MS Project.
