Contract Data Scientist Developer required to join team developing cutting-edge solutions in the Telcomms industry.

Design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models, as well as implementing advanced data science techniques to solve complex problems and drive innovation.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable AI/ML and data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Train, evaluate, and optimize models using machine learning and statistical techniques.
  2. Conduct extensive data exploration, analysis, and preprocessing to ensure data quality for AI/ML applications.
  3. Develop and apply data science methodologies to extract insights from large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
  4. Deploy models to production environments, ensuring robustness and scalability.
  5. Monitor model performance.
  6. Utilise predictive analytics, time series forecasting, and statistical models to drive business decision-making.
  7. Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI/ML and data science technologies.
  8. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for AI/ML pipelines and analytics.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms and techniques, including LLMs, GenAI, and automated AI systems.
  2. Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data science libraries (e.g., NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn).
  3. Proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant programming languages.
  4. Proficiency in working with large datasets, data wrangling, and data preprocessing.
  5. Experience in data science, statistical modelling, and data analytics techniques.
  6. Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau).

(Contract is outside IR35, requires 3 days on site in Hertfordshire per week)
