Job Description

Deutsche Telekom Global Business Solutions is responsible for serving Deutsche Telekom's business customers around the world and provides a full array of integrated connectivity solutions to our customers, including Software-Defined Networking, MPLS/IPLS services, Enterprise mobility, advanced network management, network based security, unified communications and collaboration, and consulting services.


Responsibilities:

  1. You will have overall responsibility for winning new logo deals, taking responsibility for developing and leading on sales opportunities with multinational organisations.
  2. You will be responsible for working with the other BDMs on developing a winning and competitive strategy for go to market.
  3. You will be responsible for steering cost effectiveness for the entire period and the associated customer relationship.
  4. You will prospect new business in emerging areas.
  5. You will be responsible for developing, qualifying, and driving leads and large deals from concept to completion.
  6. You must be able to understand the client's business and create/identify new opportunities.
  7. You will be able to create a strategic account plan to develop an in-depth network within business customers and to spot opportunities at their earliest stage.
  8. You will draw up proposals together with the pre-sales team (solution consultants, bid managers, etc.) and in close collaboration with service and project management, so that we can present detailed technical and business-oriented solutions to the customers.
  9. You will be responsible for managing the whole deal process from initiation of strategic selling activities through to closure.
  10. You will lead the deal through internal governance processes relevant to the nature, size, and shape of the deal.
  11. Work closely with the international Marketing Managers to drive campaigns in the UK Market.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to work as part of a small sales team and contribute to group activity and regular input into the board.
  2. Ability to ensure customer confidence and act as lead negotiator for assigned tasks.
  3. Understanding of commercials and budgeting process.
  4. Skills to work under pressure and to deadlines and to negotiate well.
  5. Understanding of Telecommunications influences and challenges both in the UK and globally.
  6. Ability to form, lead and manage multi-disciplinary/virtual teams with a results-oriented approach.
  7. Experience of lead generation, identifying early life opportunities and bringing through to qualification.
  8. Fantastic communication skills.
