Debt Recovery Manager

We're looking for an experienced Debt Recovery Manager to join our team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have at least two years' experience of working in Debt Recovery with a proven track record of managing teams in a legal or professional services office setting. They will be a great team player with an excellent eye for detail, strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as confidence in both written and verbal communications with a sound commercial acumen.

Reporting to the Head of Debt, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a team of Paralegals and administrative staff, delegating and allocating work as well as providing supervision, training and mentoring as required. In addition to this, the successful candidate will be involved in drafting non-standard court documents and correspondence as well as setting up new clients in line with regulatory and compliance requirements. The ability and experience to handle a complex and defended caseload is desirable. Taking an active role in achieving team targets, they will work to increase the profitability of the team by maintaining relationships with existing clients whilst also supporting the unit to source and secure new clients.

This role is suitable for hybrid working with a minimum requirement of 3 days per week in the office.
