About the School
The Governing Board of St Cecilia's Catholic Primary School invites applications for the position of Deputy Headteacher, commencing 1st September 2025. Due to the promotion of our current Deputy Headteacher to Headteacher, we now seek to appoint a dedicated, experienced and inspirational leader to work alongside our new headteacher to provide vision, direction and leadership, in order to build on our many strengths and continue to further develop the life of our caring and loving school.
St Cecilia's Catholic Primary School was established in March 2024 following the amalgamation of St Cecilia's Infants and St Cecilia's Junior Schools.
We are a vibrant and inclusive community, deeply rooted in our Catholic ethos, dedicated to nurturing happy, confident children with enquiring minds. - Proven themselves to be an outstanding classroom practitioner, confident to share their expertise, to mentor, coach and challenge staff in order to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
- A passion for our school, including a genuine enthusiasm and love of children, staff and all that happens at St Cecilia's Catholic Primary School.
- A clear vision for our school with the skills and ability to implement this vision in partnership with all key members of the school community including Governors, staff, parents/carers, our parish and children to deliver the highest level of education, achievement and attainment possible for our pupils.
- A clear understanding of leadership within Catholic education and our Catholic ethos.
- The ability to build upon the existing rich curriculum with high expectations of children's attainment, achievement and behaviour, supporting every child to develop and reach their own unique, individual potential.
- Experience of developing strategies for effective staff engagement and maintaining positive staff morale.
- Has the leadership qualities needed to work with the Senior Leadership Team to inspire, challenge and motivate colleagues to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to ensure a good work-life balance for all stakeholders in our community.
- Knowledge and ability to drive forward developments in the curriculum, keep up-to-date with current education initiatives and be proactive when managing change.
