About the Company
Our client is a principal contractor specialising in cladding and façade remediation, known for delivering high-quality, technically challenging projects across London and the South East. With a solid pipeline of work heading into 2025, they are seeking a talented Design Manager to join their team and take charge of key projects in the new year.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Lead the design management process for projects valued up to £10M (package).
2. Review and coordinate façade designs, working closely with subcontractors and ensuring compliance with regulations and specifications.
3. Act as the key liaison between the design team, site teams, and clients, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
4. Identify and resolve design challenges, optimising project buildability and efficiency.
5. Manage design schedules and ensure timely delivery of all design-related elements.
6. Support tender and pre-construction activities where required.
7. Ensure all designs meet the required safety, quality, and sustainability standards.

Requirements

1. Proven experience as a Designer or Design Manager, ideally within the cladding, façade, or building envelope sectors.
2. Strong understanding of façade design and construction processes, with a subcontractor-biased approach.
3. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
4. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
