Job Description

Are you a talented and experienced Design Manager looking to take the next step in your career? A leading construction company is seeking a dynamic professional to join their London team, reporting to the Regional Design Manager. You'll play a key role in managing design and digital disciplines, ensuring strong strategies are in place during pre-construction and throughout project delivery.

Responsibilities

As a Design Manager, you will:

  1. Lead the design process, ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and well-coordinated design packages from pre-construction to project completion.
  2. Collaborate with subcontractors, design teams, and consultants, ensuring smooth coordination and compliance with building regulations.
  3. Oversee multiple projects, managing the release and approval of design information, leading workshops, and ensuring technical accuracy.
  4. Provide expert guidance to clients and project teams, identifying and mitigating risks while ensuring full compliance with legal and planning requirements.
  5. Champion digital construction, driving innovation and efficiency through technology and modern methodologies.
  6. Support subcontractor selection, ensuring the right teams are in place to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Candidate

We're looking for a proactive and collaborative Design Manager with:

  3. A desire for continuous learning and improvement, staying ahead of industry trends.
  4. A strong understanding of both design and construction processes.
  5. Experience with digital construction tools and modern building practices.
  6. Relevant qualifications, such as HNC in Building Studies, a Degree in Design Management, or Architecture.
