Design Manager

Opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to join a successful and established Newcastle based construction company. This is your chance to lead a professional design team and manage early contract works across multiple projects.

About the role:

1. Manage early contract works and design activities across multiple construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications, contracts, and applicable regulations.
2. Identify design project requirements, constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
3. Lead resolution of design-related issues throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Manage a professional internal design team.
5. Work closely with project managers, architects, and consultants to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective project delivery.

To be successful, you will have:

1. Previous experience in design management within the construction industry.
2. Track record of successful delivery of multiple construction projects, ideally in the health, hospitality, and education sectors.
3. Strong leadership skills, high level of communication, and stakeholder management skills.
4. Thorough understanding of construction contracts, codes, and regulatory requirements.
