Our client in Belgium is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud Software department.

This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work on our cutting-edge IoT platform, which has significantly boosted our revenue and connected over 300,000 machines across Europe.

About the Role

You'll be part of a team developing and maintaining our cloud-based IoT platform that enables customers to remotely monitor and optimize their machines.

This platform analyzes vast amounts of data to predict maintenance needs and identify potential optimizations, including energy savings.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain cloud applications and services using .NET and Microsoft Azure

Create robust back-end functionalities and APIs to support the IoT platform

Collaborate with architects and security teams to ensure best practices in cloud infrastructure

Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps

Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

Develop and optimize database solutions using MS SQL and MongoDB

Implement messaging services using RabbitMQ and Kafka

Stay current with the latest trends in cloud technology and DevOps practices

Proactively identify and address potential issues in the development and deployment processes

Team Structure - You'll work closely with:

Product Owner / Tech Lead / Data Engineers / Test Engineer

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of exp in software development, with a focus on cloud technologies (preferably Microsoft Azure)
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET framework

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with database management (MS SQL, MongoDB) and messaging services (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, particularly Azure DevOps

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience for senior-level candidates
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Developer Associate)
• Experience with IoT platforms and data analytics
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies
