Essential functions of the job:
- Develop the overall L&D strategy and drive the continual evolution of the global learning strategy, across the 4 strategic pillars of culture, skills, innovation, and working together (op model), ensuring alignment with business goals and organizational success.
- Lead the design and management of learning frameworks that drive employee engagement, performance, and professional growth firm-wide at a global level.
- Ensure L&D has a robust global governance framework to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality learning practices across the organization.
- Champion a culture of curiosity and continuous learning and innovation, applying best practices and emerging trends to enhance the L&D ecosystem, leveraging comms, leadership development, performance management and other talent processes.
- Allocate and manage resources strategically, including budgeting and financial oversight, to maximize the impact and reach of global learning initiatives and ensure efficient and effective use of investments.
- Review and prioritize resources to align with global L&D objectives and business needs.
- Monitor and assess the impact of global learning programs to ensure they deliver measurable business outcomes, implementing robust measurement practices as needed.
- Approve, enforce, and supervise a global governance framework that ensures all learning programs, processes, and experiences adhere to global regulatory compliance standards and industry best practices.
- Act as a central control point for global L&D, providing input into the use of ethical AI in learning specific lens with wider ethical AI teams in EY.
- Create the EY Learning innovation lab, in partnership with super-region teams, to drive innovation into learning including applications of GenAI.
- Oversee the delivery of a cutting-edge AI-driven L&D ecosystem that links skills to the business portfolio, pipeline, scheduling and anticipated future revenue streams.
- Anticipate long-term industry trends and shifts, incorporating and designing innovative learning methods and technologies to prepare the organization for future challenges and opportunities as well as organizational needs and learning preferences.
- Reflect the pivotal role of AI in the end-to-end L&D value chain, leveraging technology to enhance team efficiency and learning outcomes.
- Ability to align L&D initiatives and frameworks with EY Global Strategy, set a clear vision, and lead teams towards strategic objectives.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of the professional services industry, market trends, and how L&D contributes to organizational success.
- In-depth knowledge of processes for determining current and future workforce / skills requirements, skill gap analysis, and the ability to develop strategies to meet those needs.
- Proven expertise in defining and cultivating an L&D culture that embraces continuous learning and adaptability to change.
- Experience in establishing and enforcing effective global learning governance frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance across global operations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively disseminate learning initiatives and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to negotiate with and manage expectations of business sponsors, build networks, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
- Strong knowledge of designing and managing frameworks that align talent development with business needs.
- Familiarity with global compliance and regulatory frameworks, policy development, and risk assessment in the context of L&D.
- Strong expertise in developing and implementing a learning impact framework to measure the effectiveness of L&D programs.
- Ability to leverage data analytics for insights into L&D trends, effectiveness, and strategic decision-making.
- Deep understanding of learning technologies and innovation, and the impact of AI.
- Directing and leading a diverse team of L&D and talent professionals in a global context.
- Consulted and provide feedback into global vendor and partner relationship management to ultimately drive the value for money for L&D and ensure global business L&D requirements are met.
- Providing global oversight across all entities and service lines to ensure that learning initiatives are consistent, compliant, and aligned with global standards and the firm's strategic goals.
- Enforcing global governance frameworks and ensuring that all learning activities adhere to regulatory compliance requirements and ethical standards.
- Leading and supervising strategic L&D projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and deliver the desired outcomes.
- Governing the skills taxonomy and usage, including ensuring it is adopted and maintained to meet business needs.
- Guiding the adoption of innovative learning technologies and methodologies, including AI-driven solutions, to enhance the learning ecosystem.
- Oversee the ethical deployment of AI in global L&D initiatives, ensuring responsible use and alignment with the firm's ethical values and policies.
- Managing global reputational risk related to L&D activities and protecting the EY brand.
- Leading the charge for consistency and efficiency in L&D processes, experiences, and outcomes through regular review and adaptation of frameworks.
- Reports to: Global Chief Learning & Development Officer.

- Due to the global nature of the role, travel and willingness to work alternative hours will be required.
- Due to the global nature of the role, excellent English written and verbal language skills will be required.
- Education:
- Educated to degree level in a related discipline.
- Higher professional or masters qualification in a related discipline are preferred, not required.
- Experience:
- Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within Learning & Development or a related area, with a proven track record of developing and implementing learning frameworks on a global scale.
- Demonstrated experience in consulting or successfully translating internal business strategies into effective strategy, policies and frameworks for a range of business units and regions.
- Proven ability to assess complex operational challenges, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
- A history of defining and leading significant programs of strategic change aimed at enhancing service delivery and organizational learning culture.
- Experience operating at a senior executive level, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with senior business leaders globally.
- Skilled in influencing and challenging peers and other stakeholders to adopt common ways of working and to support the overall strategic direction of the organization.
