Director Product Management

Driven by the business strategy, the Director of Product Management is responsible for the product strategy and product roadmap for the suite of products within their portfolio. The product strategy needs to be aligned to the end-to-end business process for the solutions within a capability (e.g. procurement, eCommerce, retail, or forecasting). Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor the team are important to this role's success. With the team and all product delivery related teams understanding the vision for each product, it will be down to the Director of Product Management to oversee and guide with the goals, milestones, prioritization, and training. Further, they need to drive business engagement to define the end-to-end processes.

The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with other key teams to market the changes and analyze product effectiveness, resolving business pain points and evaluating innovative ideas.

Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for product vision, strategy, and roadmap
2. Direct management of the Product Management team (Analysts)
3. Work with senior leadership on priorities and roadmaps
4. Communicate with senior leadership on status and potential issues of features being delivered
5. Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand overall business objectives
6. Partnership with the operations team on end-to-end processes
7. Ensure Analysis team deliverables are high quality and timely
8. Ensure the Development team has a clear understanding of the feature requests
9. Act as point of contact for product development concepts, business strategy and business models
10. Collect and analyze feedback from customers, stakeholders, and other teams to shape requirements, features and end products
11. Participation in recurring prioritization and road-mapping exercises
12. Collaborate with Development team to obtain proper scoping for new feature requests
13. Collaborate with Support team to manage technical issues and questions
14. Product innovation and research
15. Vigilantly observing major markets to identify trends to differentiate our solution

Knowledge, Skills + Experience

1. Extensive experience in writing software requirements for SaaS solutions
2. Management experience (experience managing a team of managers is preferred)
3. Ability to understand the business and the business needs
4. Experience in managing end-to-end client engagements
5. Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
6. Financial and technical awareness
7. Experience managing and delivering complex solutions, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple delivery tracks with conflicting priorities
8. Experience building technology road maps
9. Experience with Agile practices and methodologies
10. Experience creating prototypes and mockups
11. Experience with eCommerce platforms
12. Strong communication skills both verbal and written
13. Demonstrate a confident and collaborative approach
